Roast the green beans in a dry pan, shaking constantly, until deep brown and shining, 10 minutes. Waft the smoke toward your guests — that's tradition, not theater.
Grind fine and add to water in the jebena or pot.
Bring just to the boil, rest until the grounds settle, and pour from height in a thin stream.
Serve three rounds, each brewed from the same grounds, each a little lighter.
💡 The third cup, baraka, carries the blessing. Guests who leave early forfeit it.
